Criminal Assault Compensation Claims

Criminal injury claims are not as common as others are; as these victims do not wish to go through any more stress then they have already been through. We have helped people who have been physically assaulted, sexually assaulted and innocent people who have been mugged. As the UK’s leader in compensation we do understand that the victims of criminal injury are left mentally and physically weak and know that some may decide not to make a claim.

We at 101% Compensation would like to say,

“If there is a shred of doubt, then lob it out!”

As specialist criminal injury lawyers, we are here to help you claim for criminal assault compensation and are mindful of how you may feel.

Is It Too Late To Make An Injury Claim?

Assessing The Circumstances

It may be unlikely that you can claim should your own mental state (at the time of the incident) be abnormal i.e. you have had excessive amounts of alcohol or was taking drugs. Cases are dealt with on an individual basis and if you have genuinely been attacked or mugged you will have a much better chance of making a claim for criminal injury.

If a person who has been injured is not able to make a claim themselves, for example, fatal criminal accidents where it results in death or a serious long term disability, then a suitable relative is able to claim on behalf of the victim.

Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority (CICA)

Once the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority receives the application, they will usually ask for more information from the police, medical authorities and other organisations until they have the relevant information they need to consider the outcome of your claim. They will decide whether you are entitled to receive compensation or not. Like mentioned earlier, in most genuine cases, compensation for a criminal injury is given to victims.

If you would like to make a claim for yourself or would like to claim for a relative then please contact us or make an enquiry online.
